In the bustling streets of Bangkok, Kawin, a motorcycle taxi driver, carries the weight of a childhood regret: he once dismissed his best friend Cho's dream of working at a 7-11. Years later, fate reunites them at the very convenience store where Cho now works, and Kawin must navigate the painful distance caused by his careless words. But their story is just one aisle over. Store manager Toss, a single father abandoned by his wife, finds unexpected love with Tin, a younger taxi driver who helps care for his son. This low-budget gem breaks away from the typical university BL formula, offering a heartwarming slice-of-life tale about second chances, ordinary jobs, and the extraordinary connections found in the most mundane places. With two parallel romances—one rekindling childhood bonds, the other building a new family—Love at 7-11 proves that love can blossom even in the fluorescent-lit aisles of a convenience store.

I absolutely adored this! Kawin and Cho's awkward reconnection felt so real, and I squealed every time they finally started talking. The Toss/Tin family dynamic melted my heart—Tin playing with Toss's son was everything. Yes, it's low budget, but the love is authentic and the sweetness is off the charts. A hidden gem!

I wanted to like it more, but the writing is just too convenient. Characters pop up out of nowhere to create drama, and the third-act conflict with the ex-wife felt recycled from a dozen other BLs. The acting is stiff, and the pacing drags in the middle. It started cute but lost me by episode 6. Not terrible, but nothing special.

Honestly, I only watched for Tin and Toss. Their slow-burn romance, with Toss's adorable son and Tin's unwavering support, was the highlight. The main couple felt bland compared to this. But the secondary couple got enough screen time to satisfy me. If you love age-gap, single-dad stories, this is your show. Just skip the first couple's scenes.

I appreciate that the series shows queer people in non-student, working-class jobs—that's refreshing. However, the 'fatty' nickname and the overly flamboyant gay character felt like dated stereotypes. Consent is handled decently between the couples, but there's a lack of communication about past hurts. It's a mixed bag representation-wise, but the intent is clearly positive.

Visually, this is not a looker—fluorescent lighting, static shots, and a very limited color palette. But there's something charming about its rawness. The director uses the cramped 7-11 space cleverly to create intimacy. The motorcycle taxi stand scenes have a documentary-like authenticity. It's not beautiful, but it's honest. I'd watch a polished remake, but this version has its own scrappy soul.
