Phak, a funeral director with a heart as big as his wreath collection, has never been good at expressing his feelings—until he meets Khao, the charming son of a local florist. Every bouquet he sends to woo Khao ends up looking like a sympathy arrangement (white lilies, anyone?), leading to a series of hilariously mortifying mix-ups. Beneath the comedy lies a tender story about learning to communicate love in your own language, even if your love language accidentally screams 'condolences.' Adapted from a beloved web novel, this Thai series blends the macabre with the romantic, offering a fresh, floral-filled take on queer romance that's equal parts heartwarming and laugh-out-loud funny.

I am absolutely living for Phak and Khao! Every time he sends another bouquet that looks like it's for a funeral, I cringe and swoon at the same time. Their chemistry is off the charts, and the way they slowly figure out each other's love language? Pure gold. This is the soft, funny, romantic series my soul needed.

The visual storytelling in 'I Flower You' is stunning. The color palette shifts from muted whites and grays in the funeral home to vibrant reds and pinks in the flower shop, mirroring the emotional journey. The close-ups of petals and the way light filters through leaves add a poetic layer that elevates the simple comedy.

It's cute, I'll admit, but after three episodes, the 'oops I gave you a funeral wreath again' joke wears thin. The pacing drags in the middle, and the side characters are barely developed. If you want mindless fluff, this works, but don't expect any real narrative depth or twists.

As someone who adored the web novel, I was worried about the adaptation. They kept the core comedic beats and the sweet dynamic between Phak and Khao, but they toned down some of the novel's darker humor about death. It's more family-friendly, which is fine, but I miss the edgy bite of the original. Still, a solid adaptation overall.

The OST for this series is an underrated gem. The main theme has this playful piano riff that perfectly captures the 'romantic chaos' vibe, and the acoustic guitar ballad during the first kiss scene gave me chills. I've been looping the soundtrack on Spotify for weeks now.
