Jom, a modern-day architect, is renovating a historic house by the Ping River when he stumbles upon a chest of old drawings that feel hauntingly familiar. While trying to reconnect with his unfaithful ex-boyfriend, he suddenly finds himself transported back to 1927 – a world of sprawling estates, rigid social hierarchies, and simmering secrets. There, he meets Khun Yai, the gentle yet commanding heir of the manor, whose poetic words and tender nature stir something deep within Jom. As Jom navigates the harsh realities of the past – from the brutal treatment of servants and women to the dangers faced by anyone who loves differently – he and Yai forge a forbidden, soul-deep connection that defies time itself. But with each passing day, the specter of Jom's inevitable return to the present looms, threatening to tear them apart. Blending breathtaking cinematography, masterful acting, and a hauntingly beautiful score, this is a slow-burn romance that lingers in your heart long after the final frame.

I have never cried so much watching a BL. The way Jom and Yai look at each other, the poetry in every word Yai speaks – it's pure magic. Their love transcends time and I felt every ache, every stolen kiss, every heartbreaking goodbye. This is the definition of a timeless romance.

The soft bokeh effect in the 1920s scenes is a stroke of genius – it makes you feel like you're watching a dream from Jom's perspective. The color grading, the costume details, the way light filters through the frangipani trees... every shot is a visual feast. This is how you do period drama on a BL budget.

I wanted to love it but the main characters are frustratingly reckless. They kiss in wide-open spaces, leave doors unlocked, and act like there are no consequences in 1927 Thailand. The anxiety killed the romance for me. The production is gorgeous, sure, but the lack of caution broke my immersion.

I appreciate how this series doesn't sugarcoat the brutality of the era – the treatment of slaves, the forced marriages, the violence against women and queer people. The lesbian side couple and Fong Kaew's arc are handled with so much dignity. It's rare to see a BL tackle these issues with this level of nuance and respect.

The music is a character in itself. 'Lanthom' plays during the most devastating moments and I still tear up hearing it. The instrumental pieces that blend classical Thai instruments with modern strings perfectly capture the melancholy of time-crossed love. I've had the soundtrack on repeat for weeks.
