Jom and Khun Yai, separated by decades, share an unbreakable bond that transcends time. On a night when a meteor shower streaks across the sky, Jom makes a desperate wish for the impossible—to hold Yai once more. The universe answers, pulling Yai from the past into Jom’s modern-day world. What follows is a whimsical, heartwarming day of discovery as Yai encounters smartphones, robot vacuums, and TikTok dances, while Jom tries to make every moment count. But the clock is ticking: how long can love defy the boundaries of time? This special episode is a tender, nostalgic gift for fans—a bittersweet celebration of a love so strong it bends the rules of reality itself.

I laughed so much and cried happy tears. Seeing Khun Yai in the modern world is the best thing ever—his confusion over the robot vacuum had me rolling. The dance scene was pure magic. This is everything a fan could want: more Jom and Yai being adorable together. Don't listen to the haters, this is a warm hug of an episode!

I wanted to love this, but I can't ignore how poorly the time was used. If I had one day with my soulmate from another century, I wouldn't spend it recording TikTok dances or playing VR games. The characters felt off, and the only kiss was a dead-fish peck. The emotional core of the original series was replaced with silly gimmicks. A disappointing missed opportunity.

Visually stunning. The way the director uses warm golden tones to contrast the cold modern world with the soft sepia flashbacks is genius. The dance sequence is lit like a dream—soft, floating, intimate. Even the framing of Yai touching a smartphone for the first time is shot with such care. This is a masterclass in visual storytelling, regardless of plot quibbles.

As someone who read the novel, I appreciated that this special episode leans into the idea that it could all be one of Jom's dreams, just like in the book. It's not a sequel—it's a poetic epilogue. The callbacks to specific scenes from the series made me smile. I do wish they had included more of the novel's emotional depth, but as a fan gift, it works beautifully.

I was uncomfortable with how Jom treats Yai in this episode. Instead of genuine concern for Yai's emotional state after time-traveling, Jom acts like a tour guide for his gadgets. The power imbalance is weird—Yai is lost and dependent, and Jom exploits that for 'fun' experiences. Also, the lack of any physical reunion beyond a hug feels emotionally stunted. Not the loving, respectful reunion I hoped for.
