Huntinground is a raw, unflinching Philippine BL drama that strips away the candy-coated tropes of romance to explore love as a brutal, psychological game. The story follows two men caught in a spiraling relationship where passion and darkness intertwine, forcing them to confront the toxic undercurrents that often accompany intense emotional bonds. With a single, tightly-woven episode, this dark-psycho-drama challenges viewers to reexamine what it means to love when the stakes are manipulation, obsession, and self-destruction. The series stands out for its daring narrative choices and unapologetic portrayal of flawed, human characters who are desperate for connection yet terrified of vulnerability. Breathtakingly tense and emotionally raw, Huntinground is a must-watch for fans seeking a mature, thought-provoking queer story that doesn't shy away from the shadows of love.

Finally a BL that doesn't wrap everything in a pretty bow! The chemistry between the leads is electric, and I loved how it explored the messy, ugly sides of love. It's not for everyone, but it felt so real to me. The acting is top-notch for a short film.

The concept is interesting, but cramming a full psychological drama into 45 minutes leaves little room for character development. Pacing felt rushed and some motivations are unclear. I appreciate the ambition, but it needed a longer format to breathe.

Visually striking! The use of shadows, close-ups, and muted color palettes perfectly mirrors the psychological tension. The cinematography makes you feel claustrophobic and uneasy—exactly what the story demands. A masterclass in mood-building on a low budget.

I appreciate that Huntinground tries to tackle dark themes, but it romanticizes some toxic behaviors without clear critique. The power imbalances are concerning, and I wish the narrative had a stronger message about consent and boundaries. It feels more exploitative than educational.

The soundtrack and ambient sounds really elevate the tension. The sparse, haunting score stays with you long after the episode ends. It's not a happy watch, but the audio design perfectly complements the emotional turmoil.
