Nueng is a gay high school student trapped in a daily nightmare of relentless bullying—verbal abuse, physical violence, and cyber harassment that strip away his sense of self-worth. His only lifeline is Tong, his best friend and secret crush, who fiercely protects him but struggles to confront his own feelings. When the cruelty escalates to a devastating assault and a forced public outing, Nueng reaches a breaking point, contemplating suicide on the school rooftop. This raw 44-minute Thai film pulls no punches in exposing homophobia, societal neglect, and the desperate need for acceptance. Yet amid the darkness, small moments of grace—an ice cream shared, a parent's embrace, a long-awaited confession—remind us that even in the deepest pain, love and humanity can still break through. *Human Too* is a compact but emotionally charged drama that tackles heavy social issues with sincerity, making it a poignant watch for those ready to confront uncomfortable truths.

Finally, a BL short film that doesn't shy away from the ugly reality of homophobia. The bullying scenes are hard to watch, but they're necessary—this is what so many LGBTQ+ youth face daily. I appreciate how the script calls out teachers and the system for failing students. The consent issues (non-consensual photos, outing) are handled with gravity, and the supportive parents gave me hope. Not a light watch, but an important one.

I came for the romance and stayed for the tears. Key and Win have such natural chemistry—the way Tong protects Nueng and then finally admits his love broke me. The ice cream scene is the sweetest moment in this entire sad story. Yes, it's low budget and the ending is open, but that hug on the rooftop? My heart melted. I just wish we got more happy moments together.

I respect the effort to tackle heavy topics, but the execution felt rushed. The film tries to cover bullying, assault, outing, suicide, and a love confession in 44 minutes—too much, too fast. The bleeped swears and missing text translations were distracting. Also, the friend's initial betrayal (the assault scene) made it hard to root for the romance later. An important message, but the storytelling needed more polish.

For a low-budget indie short, the cinematography surprised me. The contrast between the gray, claustrophobic school hallways and the bright, open rooftop sets the emotional tone beautifully. The close-ups during the bullying scenes capture the raw fear in Nueng's eyes. That said, some lighting was inconsistent, and the camera work occasionally felt shaky. Still, a visually thoughtful film that proves you don't need a big budget to tell a powerful story.
