Set against the vibrant backdrop of Baguio's Panagbenga Festival, *Huling Halik* is a poignant Filipino independent film that captures the heartache of a final farewell. Two college students, Ili and Marco, find themselves drawn together on the eve of their inevitable separation—one bound for a new life abroad, the other trapped by obligations at home. Over the course of one sun-drenched day, they wander through the city's flower-lined streets, sharing stolen moments that are equal parts tender and desperate. Their chemistry is electric, yet shadowed by the weight of unspoken truths—including Ili's hidden girlfriend, which fuels jealousy and forces raw confrontations. Director Zig Dulay crafts an intimate, bittersweet portrait of young love that knows its expiration date. With naturalistic performances from Joeffrey Javier and Kenjie Garcia, the film explores the agony of wanting someone you can't keep and the courage it takes to let go. Beautifully shot and achingly real, *Huling Halik* is a hidden gem of early Philippine BL cinema that lingers long after the final frame.

I cried like a baby. The way Ili and Marco look at each other—it's so pure and painful. The festival scenes made everything feel magical, and the ending crushed me. If you want a real, aching love story, this is it.

I appreciate the attempt, but the pacing drags in the middle, and the whole girlfriend subplot felt like a lazy conflict device. Some 'erotic' scenes were unintentionally funny. Still, the leads have good chemistry, and the Panagbenga footage is nice.

The cinematography is the real star here—Baguio’s misty mornings and the flower festival are captured beautifully. The lighting in the intimate scenes is soft and warm, though the handheld camera work can be shaky. A visually poetic indie film.

I have mixed feelings. The film normalizes cheating and a bit of emotional manipulation, but it also shows the messy, real consequences of that. I'm glad it exists as a piece of queer Filipino history, but I'd appreciate a more ethical central romance.

The soundtrack is minimal but effective—a few soft guitar pieces and ambient sounds that really sell the quiet sadness of the story. I wish there was an official OST release. The festival music adds vibrant contrast.
