Step into the hallways of Nadao Bangkok high school, where a group of 11th-grade students navigate the messy, exhilarating, and often painful journey of adolescence. *Hormones* is a groundbreaking Thai ensemble drama that doesn't shy away from the raw realities of teenage life—first love, sexual awakening, family secrets, peer pressure, and the desperate need to belong. Each episode zooms in on a different character’s personal crisis, from a shy guitarist grappling with his feelings for a classmate to a confident girl discovering the consequences of her choices. With a razor-sharp focus on authenticity, the series weaves together multiple storylines involving a brass band, a rocky love triangle, and the quiet struggles of coming out. What makes *Hormones* truly special is its refusal to moralize; instead, it lets its flawed, relatable characters stumble, learn, and grow. Whether it’s the thrill of a first concert or the ache of a broken friendship, this show captures the bittersweet essence of growing up in a way that feels both timeless and deeply personal. A must-watch for anyone who remembers—or is living through—the chaos of their teenage years.

I’m a sucker for realistic teen dramas, and Hormones delivered in spades. Tar and Toei’s shy romance had me kicking my feet, and the way the show handled the BL storyline with Mhog and Pu felt so tender and genuine. Every character felt like someone I knew in high school. Yes, it’s messy and sometimes frustrating, but that’s exactly what growing up is like. Highly recommend for anyone who wants more than just fluff.

I came for the BL side couple (Mhog and Pu) and stayed for the whole chaotic ensemble. Their storyline is slow-burn perfection—full of longing, confusion, and that painful first love. I just wish they had more screentime together! Still, the show’s courage to show a gay teen struggling with his feelings in a conservative society was ahead of its time. The rest of the cast is solid too, but those two had my heart.

As a drama, Hormones has good intentions but suffers from pacing issues. The first few episodes were a slog—too many characters introduced too quickly. I also found the moralizing tone a bit grating at times, especially the way it punished 'rebellious' characters while rewarding the 'good' ones. However, I can’t deny the strong acting and the willingness to tackle taboo topics. It’s an important show, but not a perfect one.

I really appreciated how Hormones opened up conversations about consent, teenage pregnancy, and the pressure to fit in. It doesn’t glamorize risky behavior—it shows the consequences without being preachy. The BL storyline, while sweet, also subtly critiques the lack of support for queer youth. That said, I wish the show had included more positive adult role models instead of just absent or strict parents. Still, a bold and necessary watch.

The OST of Hormones is an absolute banger—the opening theme alone gives me chills every time. The use of Thai rock music perfectly captures the restless energy of teenage rebellion. The brass band scenes are so vibrant and alive, they make you feel like you’re right there in the practice room. Music isn’t just background here; it’s woven into the characters’ identities. I’ve added half the soundtrack to my playlist. Brilliant.
