I came for the main couples but stayed for the side pairings! In MODC, the secondary romance absolutely stole my heart—their chemistry felt so raw and natural, and that intimate scene was beautifully shot. Trapped also delivered with incredible tension between Shao Fei and Tang Yi. Both stories are worth the watch, though I do wish the side characters got more screen time.

HIStory3: Trapped is my all-time favorite BL. The cat-and-mouse dynamic between Meng Shao Fei and Tang Yi is electrifying—every glance, every near-touch had me on edge. The plot twists genuinely surprised me, and Tang Yi's character arc left me sobbing. This is enemies-to-lovers done right. If you want a love story that feels earned and epic, start here.

Visually, HIStory3 is a feast. The lighting in Trapped—those moody neon noir shots of the city at night—perfectly mirrors the moral gray areas of the characters. MODC uses soft, warm palettes to contrast innocence with heartbreak. Every frame feels intentional. The directing here is a step above most BL, and the costume design for Tang Yi is iconic.

I wanted to love Trapped more, but the police investigation logic falls apart if you think about it too hard. The pacing drags in the middle and some reveals feel convenient. That said, the chemistry between the leads is undeniable, and MODC's emotional punch is real. Not perfect, but the acting and romance make up for the plot holes.

I can't stop thinking about the secondary couple in MODC. Their love story is everything—messy, passionate, and achingly real. The way they complete each other despite all odds gave me all the feels. Trapped's main couple is amazing too, but those two supporting boys? Perfection. This whole anthology is a treasure.
