I'm absolutely swooning over the chemistry between the leads! The way they look at each other after all those years of separation is just pure magic. Every hug, every tear feels so real. This is the kind of love story that makes you believe in soulmates. Definitely my comfort BL of the year!

The emotional moments hit hard, but the pacing drags in the middle episodes. Some side plots feel rushed or underdeveloped, and the bullying trope, while important, gets repetitive. Still, the leads carry the show well enough. It's a decent watch but not groundbreaking.

The color palette is gorgeous—soft pastels for the childhood flashbacks and warmer tones for the present day. The lighting during the rooftop confession scene is stunning. Every frame feels like a photograph. If you appreciate visual storytelling, this series delivers beautifully.

I appreciate that the drama tries to address bullying seriously, but it sometimes romanticizes the rescuer dynamic without fully unpacking the power imbalance. The consent conversations are minimal, and the protagonist's trauma recovery feels glossed over. Important themes, but could have been handled with more nuance.

As someone who read the novel, I was pleasantly surprised by how faithfully the adaptation captures the emotional beats. A few subplots were trimmed, but the core relationship and the bullying arc remain intact. The casting is spot-on—especially Ball as the lead. A solid adaptation that novel fans will enjoy.
