Hibiki Takato is a devoted 2D otaku whose world revolves around the popular anime series 'Heavens x Candy.' After attending a fan event for the show, he has a chance encounter with a charismatic attendee who turns out to be none other than Rui Mukai, a rising AV actor. Despite their vastly different worlds—one immersed in fictional romance, the other performing it for a living—an unexpected and tender connection blossoms between them. As Hibiki navigates his shyness and Rui confronts the stigma of his profession, they discover a pure, unlikely love that challenges societal norms. This Japanese pink film blends mature themes with heartfelt vulnerability, offering a slow-burn romance that explores identity, acceptance, and the courage to love beyond labels.

I absolutely adored this film! The way Hibiki blushes and stammers around Rui is so precious, and the scenes where they finally open up to each other made my heart flutter. The chemistry is off the charts—definitely one of the most genuine love stories I've seen in BL. Ignore the haters, this one's a gem.

The concept is interesting, but the execution falls flat. The pacing is painfully slow—nothing really happens until the last third, and the dialogue feels repetitive. I also found the AV industry subtext handled too superficially. For a pink film, it's surprisingly tame in plot development. Not terrible, but far from great.

Visually, this film is a treat. The lighting in the fan event scene and the intimate moments between the leads are beautifully soft and dreamy. The color palette shifts from muted blues to warm golds as their relationship deepens—a subtle but effective touch. For a low-budget pink film, the cinematography and framing are surprisingly polished.

I struggled with the power imbalance and how the film romanticizes the AV actor's profession without critically examining exploitation. Hibiki's naivety feels infantilized, and Rui's career is treated as a quirky trait rather than a complex reality. The consent dynamics are unclear in a few scenes. I appreciate the attempt at a different storyline, but it needed more thoughtful writing.

The soundtrack is the unsung hero of this film. The piano theme that plays during their first real conversation is hauntingly beautiful, and the end credits song perfectly captures the bittersweet tone. The background music elevates the emotional beats, even when the acting feels a bit stiff. I'd listen to the OST on repeat.
