I am absolutely obsessed with Jack and Magic! Their chemistry is off the charts even though one of them is literally a ghost. The way Jack looks at Magic—so soft and protective—made my heart flutter every single time. Yes, the ending made me cry, but it was so beautiful and fitting. This is my new go-to Halloween comfort watch!

Visually, this series surprised me. The Halloween party lighting is vibrant and moody, and the ethereal glow they give Magic really sells the ghostly vibe. That final piano scene is gorgeously shot—I replayed it multiple times. The cinematography elevates what could be a low-budget web series into something genuinely dreamy. A few scene transitions felt abrupt, but overall a very stylish watch.

I wanted to love it more, but the pacing really dragged in the middle episodes. Also, the ending—while thematically appropriate—felt a bit rushed and predictable. The logic of the ghost rules is a little shaky (why can Magic touch objects sometimes but not others?). Still, it's a short commitment and the leads are likeable, so it's not a waste of time. Just don't expect a tightly written supernatural drama.

I appreciate that this series handles grief and letting go with genuine sensitivity. Jack's determination to help Magic move on rather than selfishly keep him around is a mature take. The ghost Gina is also refreshingly complex—not just a scary trope but a tragic figure. However, I wish the show had explored the power dynamics of a human falling for a trapped spirit a bit more. Still, it's a respectful and heartfelt queer ghost story.

The music in this series is seriously underrated! The score during the piano scene is hauntingly beautiful—I had to Shazam it. It perfectly captures the bittersweet tone. Even the party tracks set the Halloween mood just right. I wish the OST was available on streaming because I'd listen on repeat. The sound design really amplifies the emotional beats.
