In the bittersweet Filipino short film 'Till the Very End,' we witness the final hours of a five-year relationship between TJ and Ram. They've decided to part ways, and their last night together is a delicate dance of memory, love, and painful honesty. As they pack up their shared apartment, each familiar object sparks a flashback to happier times, forcing them to confront the question: how do you let go of someone who was your whole world? The film masterfully captures the quiet devastation of a breakup—the unsaid words, the lingering touches, and the slow acceptance that some love stories aren't meant to last forever. With raw performances from Kaleb Ong and Kevin Alejandro, this emotional short film is a poignant exploration of healing, closure, and the courage it takes to say goodbye. Spoiler-free and deeply resonant, 'Till the Very End' reminds us that sometimes the most loving thing you can do is release the person you love.

I was sobbing by the end. TJ and Ram feel so real—the way they look at each other, the little touches, the unsaid words... it broke me and put me back together. This is what a breakup actually feels like. Absolutely beautiful.

I appreciate the acting but there's just not enough story here. It's basically a 15-minute montage of two guys being sad in an apartment. I needed more context on why they broke up. The emotional beats feel slightly unearned because we don't get their backstory.

The soft lighting, the warm color palette, and the intimate framing are stunning. Every shot looks like a photograph. The cinematography does so much of the emotional heavy lifting—you can feel the silence and the space between them. Wish it was longer so I could enjoy the visuals more.

I liked that the film portrays a mature, consensual breakup where both partners communicate honestly without manipulation. It's a healthy alternative to the usual toxic drama. That said, it could have explored their emotional boundaries a little more deeply—still, a respectful portrayal of an ending.

The piano score in this film is hauntingly beautiful. It perfectly underscores every raw moment—especially the scene where they're folding clothes. The music says what the characters can't. I've listened to the soundtrack on loop ever since.
