I am absolutely wrecked. Kokoy and Elijah are magic together—every look, every kiss, every 'baby' had me melting. The love scene was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in a BL; it wasn't just sex, it was two souls connecting. I cried through the last twenty minutes. This is what true love looks like.

I wanted to love it more, but the pacing felt off. The side couple Terrence and Wesley were rushed and underdeveloped, and the sudden arrival of Achilles felt forced. The main leads carry the film beautifully, but the script leans too heavily on cheesy domestic scenes that could have been trimmed to give the drama more weight. Still a solid watch, but not the masterpiece everyone says.

The cinematography is a massive upgrade from the series. The warm, vintage color palette, the way the camera lingers on the characters' faces during emotional beats, and that gorgeous fountain scene—every frame is a painting. The production team clearly poured their hearts into making this look cinematic despite the pandemic restrictions. Stunning.

This film deserves applause for how it handles intimacy and consent. The scene where Gavreel waits until Cairo is completely ready—verbally checking in, pausing when needed—is a model for healthy sexual relationships. Plus, the confrontation with Aunt Susan is a powerful, uncomfortable look at religious homophobia that many of us have experienced. It doesn't sugarcoat; it educates. Essential viewing.

The soundtrack is a character in itself. 'Iyong Iyo' by Zack Tabudlo plays during the most pivotal moments and it gives me chills every time. The background score perfectly underscores the emotional shifts—from playful and light during the laundry scene to devastating during the final goodbye. I've been looping the OST nonstop since I watched.
