In the glittering world of Chinese fashion and entertainment, top designer and former star Liang Chen finds his muse in the most unexpected place: a shy young man named He Wei Xing, who tags along to a friend's photoshoot audition. Captivated by Wei Xing's raw authenticity, Liang Chen chooses him as his exclusive model, setting off a whirlwind romance that is as tender as it is turbulent. As their bond deepens, they must navigate jealous rivals, obsessive fans, and the pressures of fame—all while discovering that the stolen kiss from years ago was only the beginning of a fateful connection. This short 4-episode series packs an emotional punch, offering a bittersweet tale of mutual healing and forbidden love. However, many viewers recommend seeking out the longer 8-episode 'demo' version for a more coherent and satisfying story, as this condensed cut can feel disjointed.

I absolutely adore Liang Chen and He Wei Xing together! Their chemistry is so natural and sweet. Yes, the 4-episode version is a bit messy, but once I found the 8-episode demo, everything clicked. The slow build, the stolen glances, the way they comfort each other—pure BL magic. A beautiful, healing story that made me smile.

I can't believe this is listed as a series when it's clearly a chopped-up mess. Scenes jump around, subplots (like the sabotage at Liang Chen's studio) are introduced and never resolved. The acting is decent, but the editing and pacing are atrocious. If you haven't seen the demo, you'll be completely lost. Skip this version and watch the original 8-episode cut.

Visually, this drama is a treat. The lighting and color grading give it a glossy, high-fashion feel, and the costumes are gorgeous. The music is moody and fits the emotional beats. However, the subtitles in the 4-episode version were riddled with errors, which pulled me out of the experience. Still, for a short watch, the aesthetic alone is worth a look.

I appreciate that the story tries to show a respectful dynamic between a powerful star and his model—there's no coercion, and Wei Xing's autonomy is mostly respected. But the drama doesn't delve into the power imbalance or the impact of fandom scrutiny on their relationship. It feels surface-level. Also, the kisses are painfully chaste, which undermines the emotional intimacy. A missed opportunity for deeper social commentary.

The background score and main theme are quite lovely—melancholic piano pieces that really underscore the longing between the leads. But there aren't enough distinct songs to make a lasting impression. The soundtrack does its job but doesn't elevate the drama beyond its flaws. Still, I found myself humming the melody after watching. More OSTs would have been nice.
