In this raw and emotionally charged Hong Kong indie film, we meet Jun (Carlos Chan), a young man carrying the weight of a fractured family. After a traumatic coming out that enraged his late father, Jun lives a reckless life, clashing silently with his quietly suffering mother. Their home is a cold war zone until he meets Michael (Neo Yau), a gentle and understanding man who sees past Jun's rebellious armor. Their newfound love is put to the ultimate test when a life-altering HIV diagnosis forces them to confront their own vulnerabilities, societal prejudice, and the fragile threads of family. As Jun's mother slowly opens her heart through Michael's patient kindness, the trio must learn that love—in all its forms—is the only thing strong enough to heal old wounds. This is not your typical fluffy BL; it's a heartfelt, sometimes painful, but ultimately hopeful journey about forgiveness, responsibility, and the courage to love unconditionally.

I've watched this three times now and I still cry. Jun and Michael's love feels so real—despite all the pain, they hold onto each other. Yes, the music is weird in parts and the budget is tiny, but the heart of this movie is huge. The mom's journey wrecked me. Bring tissues!

I don't get the hype. Jun is selfish—bringing hookups home while his mom suffers in silence, then playing the victim. Michael deserves way better. The HIV plot feels like a cautionary tale that blames the victim for trusting. Also, the 'I want to feel closer without a condom' line is just reckless. Not romantic at all.

Beautiful and heartbreaking. I love that the mother isn't a caricature—she's flawed and trapped by her environment. Michael's patience in bridging that gap is what made me cry. The HIV topic is handled with nuance, though I wish they'd shown more about safe sex education. A short but powerful watch.

For a low-budget indie, the lighting and some shots are surprisingly lovely—there's a warmth in the way they frame Jun and Michael together. The sound design and music let it down, but the actors carry the emotional weight. If you can look past the rough edges, there's a gem here.
