Da Hei is a man driven by desperation, taking on any job that comes his way through the mysterious 'All-Service House' to pay for his little sister’s medical treatment. His world tilts when he unknowingly takes in a new roommate: the adorably clumsy and overly cheerful Xiao Bai. But Xiao Bai isn’t what he seems—he’s a secret agent from a family of spies, assigned to investigate Da Hei. As they share a roof, the tension between mission and emotion intensifies, especially when a fake relationship to fool Da Hei’s grandma spirals into something real. What follows is a heartwarming, often hilarious journey where espionage takes a backseat to undeniable chemistry, awkward cockroach phobias, and two men learning to trust each other—even when the truth could shatter everything. Filled with sweet moments and playful banter, *Fight for You* is a feel-good romance wrapped in a delightfully absurd spy plot that prioritizes love over logic.

I absolutely melted watching Da Hei and Xiao Bai. Their chemistry is off the charts—every glance, every accidental touch had me squealing. Yes, the spy plot is ridiculous, but I didn't care one bit because their love story is just that adorable. The fake relationship trope has never been this heart-fluttering. A perfect comfort watch that left me smiling for days!

I went in expecting a tense spy thriller, but got a rom-com with barely any coherent espionage. The surveillance tactics are laughable, the 'intelligence agency' feels like a high school club, and the plot holes are big enough to drive a truck through. I had to suppress my logic to enjoy the cute leads, and even then the side characters are cardboard cutouts. Not bad if you're desperate for fluff, but don't expect anything deep.

The romance is genuinely sweet when both leads communicate, but I have serious issues with several non-consensual kisses and touches that are played for laughs. One character grabs the other's hair and forces a kiss in anger—that's not romantic, it's a red flag. I also disliked the 'girlfriend' joke and corporal punishment from grandparents. On the plus side, I loved that both protagonists actively take care of each other and are equals in their relationship. Worth watching with a critical eye.

I was so excited for the second couple—the stoic cop and the mysterious criminal had all the potential for an angsty, enemies-to-lovers arc. But they got barely any screen time until the very last episode! Their rushed conclusion felt unearned, especially since one of them just got over his ex. The main leads are cute and all, but I needed more depth and drama from the B-plot. Give them their own series, please!

I came for the spy stuff and was immediately disappointed. The fight scenes are almost nonexistent, and what little action there is feels clumsy and unconvincing. The main guy is scared of cockroaches—seriously? Not exactly badass territory. That said, I stayed for the leads' charisma and the funny moments. Just don't call this an action drama; it's a rom-com with a flimsy spy backdrop. For a light evening with no expectations, it works.
