Nu, a shy, bespectacled student, finds his life turned upside down when he's nearly hit by a car driven by Sun, a charismatic second-year medical student. The minor injury leads to a precarious connection, but before Nu can piece together Sun's reputation as the university's most adored heartthrob, a simple moment of eye contact sets off a chain of complicated emotions. Adapted from a novel, this series goes beyond a typical campus romance, weaving multiple love stories that grapple with consent, power dynamics, and moral ambiguity. With a raw and unflinching look at the gray areas of attraction, *Eye Contact (Uncut Ver.)* challenges viewers to question black-and-white judgments, making it a compelling and thought-provoking watch for those seeking depth in their BL dramas.

I'll admit I came for the chemistry between Nu and Sun, and I wasn't disappointed. Their eye-contact moments are electric, and the side couples add so much angst. Sure, the consent stuff made me uncomfortable, but that's the point – it's real, not fluffy. Give me messy feelings any day.

I wanted to like this, but the pacing is all over the place. Too much time spent on kindergarten flashbacks that barely connect, and the main plot gets lost. The controversial scenes feel exploitative rather than educational. A lot of potential wasted in just 6 episodes.

I appreciate that the series tries to show that things aren't black and white, but the depiction of sexual coercion is handled clumsily. It raises important questions about power dynamics, yet the resolution feels rushed. Still, it's refreshing to see a BL that dares to be this uncomfortable.

As someone who read the original novel, I was curious how they'd adapt the more intense scenes. The changes are significant – they softened some character arcs and added unnecessary filler. Still, the core message about gray morality remains, and the actors do a solid job. A decent but imperfect adaptation.

I'm here for the second couple, and they absolutely delivered! Their toxic, angsty storyline is the highlight of the show. The main couple is fine, but those two are fire – raw, messy, and utterly captivating. If you skip to their scenes, you'll love it. Shame the production drama cut things short.
