Nu is a quiet, bespectacled university student whose life takes a dramatic turn when he's nearly hit by a car driven by Sun, a popular second-year medical student. What begins as an awkward accident soon spirals into a tangled web of love triangles, dark secrets, and multiple couples navigating their own tumultuous relationships. From the main pair's shaky start to a side story involving a kidnapping and non-consensual encounter, the series attempts to blend lighthearted romance with heavy trauma – but the jarring tonal shifts and problematic handling of sensitive issues have made it one of 2025's most controversial Thai BLs. With only six episodes, Eye Contact packs in forced drama, cheating, and a cliffhanger ending that left viewers divided.

I know the show is a mess, but I can't help loving the main couple's chemistry. New and Bank just sparkle together, and their scenes made my heart flutter. Yes, the cheating plotline was stupid, but I forgave them because they looked so good. If they'd just cut out the high school kids and the awful SA stuff, this could have been a guilty pleasure.

Where do I even start? The plot is an incoherent mess of clichés, the pacing is atrocious, and characters act irrationally just to create drama. Sun cheats and then literally says 'it was my first mistake' as if that excuses it. Nothing makes sense, and the ending is a cliffhanger that nobody asked for. This is writing by Mad Libs.

I'm disgusted. Episode 5 features a graphic rape scene that is shot and scored like a romantic moment. The victim and perpetrator later kiss and have sex with zero consequences. This isn't 'dark' storytelling – it's irresponsible and harmful. The BL industry needs to stop using sexual violence as cheap drama. Avoid this at all costs.

I'm a sucker for toxic enemies-to-lovers, and the acting between Jame and Folk is fantastic – their tension in early episodes had me hooked. But the execution of their dark turn was a disaster. The rape scene felt gratuitous and unnecessary, tainting what could have been a compelling redemption arc. I still think they have amazing chemistry, but the writers did them dirty.

I'll give credit where it's due: the first few episodes have some genuinely beautiful shots – warm lighting, nice framing, and a soft color palette. But beautiful cinematography can't save a script that romanticizes rape and cheating. It's like wrapping a gift in gold paper but putting garbage inside. A waste of visual talent.
