In the vibrant halls of a Thai university, chubby and soft-hearted Khaomao harbors a simple dream: to find love and experience the perfect boyfriend he's always imagined. But living in the shadow of his impossibly handsome and popular roommate, Phi Kong, makes him feel invisible. Everyone around them envies Khaomao's luck, but to him, sharing a room with a campus star is more a source of insecurity than joy. Adapted from a beloved web novel, 'Dreams of the Mayfly' is a tender, slow-burn romance that peels back layers of self-doubt, body image, and the quiet courage it takes to be seen. As Khaomao navigates his messy feelings and the surprising kindness hidden beneath Phi Kong's cool exterior, the series blossoms into a heartfelt journey of self-acceptance and genuine connection. With its gentle humor, emotional depth, and a cast that brings warmth to every scene, this Thai BL promises to capture your heart without ever losing sight of what really matters: loving yourself first.

I'm absolutely in love with Khaomao and Phi Kong! Their chemistry is so natural and sweet. The way Phi Kong slowly starts noticing Khaomao beyond his looks melted my heart. Every scene they share feels like a warm hug. This is pure comfort BL at its finest.

The romance is sweet but the pacing drags in the middle episodes. Some side plots feel unnecessary and the conflict resolution is a bit too convenient. Still, the acting holds it together, and Khaomao's character arc is genuinely well-written. Worth a watch if you're patient.

The soft lighting and pastel color palette perfectly mirror the gentle tone of the story. I loved how the camera lingers on small gestures – a hand brushing, a shared glance. The university setting is beautifully captured. Not groundbreaking, but visually very cohesive and pleasing.

This series handles body image and insecurity with surprising maturity. Khaomao's journey toward self-acceptance feels authentic, and Phi Kong never pressures him – there's clear consent in every step of their relationship. The show gently challenges internalized fatphobia without being preachy. More BLs should take notes.

As a fan of the original web novel, I was relieved they kept the core intact. Some minor plot points were simplified and a couple of side characters got less screen time, but the emotional beats hit just right. The casting for Khaomao is perfect – he brings the character to life exactly as I imagined.
