In the bustling heart of Bangkok's post-production scene, Tan is a brooding video editor whose world is dominated by deadlines and solitude. Enter Natee, a bright-eyed intern whose hands betray a nervous tremor—not from fear of the job, but from the overwhelming feelings he can't suppress whenever Tan is near. What starts as a tense workplace dynamic slowly unravels into a tender, awkward dance of unspoken emotions. As Tan finds himself drawn to Natee's relentless positivity and vulnerability, he must confront his own walled-off heart. 'Dirty Rainbows' is a compact, emotionally resonant Thai BL that turns everyday moments—a shared coffee, a fumbled edit—into profound gestures of care. With only eight episodes, it captures the messy, beautiful reality of falling for someone when your own hands shake with the weight of it all.

I absolutely adored the way Natee's shaking hands told a story of their own. The chemistry between Tan and him was so natural and sweet—it felt like watching two real people fall in love. Yes, the production was low-budget, but the emotional payoff made up for every rough edge. A perfect comfort watch.

The concept is charming, but the execution left me wanting more depth. The side characters are barely sketched out, and the pacing feels uneven—some scenes drag while key emotional beats are rushed. It's a decent short watch, but don't expect a tightly crafted narrative.

I appreciate that the show touches on consent and power dynamics between an editor and his intern, but it never fully explores them. Tan's brooding can come off as emotionally withdrawn rather than romantically mysterious, which made me uneasy at times. That said, Natee's character is refreshingly earnest.

For a web series, the cinematography is surprisingly thoughtful—soft lighting in the editing room, warm tones for their private moments. However, the limited budget shows in a few awkward camera angles. I wish they had invested more in sound design, but the color grading tied the emotional arc together nicely.

The soundtrack is the unsung hero here. The soft guitar melodies and subtle piano motifs perfectly underscore every awkward glance and gentle touch. If you're a lover of BL OSTs, you'll find a few gems. The songs are simple but effective, even if the show itself is a bit forgettable plot-wise.
