Dear Miss Becky is a heartfelt Filipino anthology series hosted by the charismatic Miss Becky (Ameer Sanchez), who retells real-life stories from the LGBTQ+ community. The premiere episode, 'Bryan and Alex,' follows two young men who forge an intense emotional bond during a dog-friendly beach tour. What begins as a tentative, slow-burning romance—marked by quiet intimacy and shared silences—turns tragically fragile when an unexpected accident shatters their brief time together. The series beautifully captures the idea that true connection transcends physicality, focusing on the depth of sleeping beside someone and cherishing moments before they slip away. With stunning cinematography of Philippine shores and a poignant score, Dear Miss Becky offers a visually immersive, emotionally raw exploration of love, loss, and the enduring power of memory. Each episode stands alone as a tender, bittersweet slice of queer life, reminding viewers that love can be both fleeting and eternal.

I completely fell for Bryan and Alex. The way they connect through silence and the ocean—it's pure poetry. Yes, the host Miss Becky felt a bit out of place, but Hiro Shimoji's performance is so raw and real. The ending wrecked me. Definitely a hidden gem for those who want a tearjerker with beautiful visuals.

Visually stunning. The sunset shots, the abstract sound design, the way the camera lingers on their hands—Xion Lim knows how to create atmosphere. The script is thin, but the emotional payoff works because the actors sell it. I just wish the anthology framing device was stronger. Still, a gorgeous 40 minutes.

I wanted to love this, but the writing is all over the place. The characters barely have personalities beyond 'grieving' and 'longing.' The host Miss Becky adds nothing except awkward monologues. The tragic accident feels cheap—like they needed a quick emotional punch. It's pretty, but pretty hollow.

For a short queer series based on real stories, this is a decent attempt. I appreciate that it focuses on intimacy without sex, and the message about cherishing time is important. However, the directing felt amateurish at times, and the host's character is a missed opportunity for deeper social commentary. Good starting point for Filipino BL though.
