In the bustling halls of a Thai hospital, Dr. Prakan is a brilliant surgeon whose mission to save lives is constantly interrupted by an unexpected visitor: a soul reaper named Tuaphee. Wherever death strikes, Tuaphee appears—not to kill, but to escort souls to the afterlife. But Prakan, still haunted by his mother's death and the fragility of life, can't see the distinction. He lashes out, pushes Tuaphee away, yet finds himself repeatedly drawn back to the gentle, enigmatic reaper who seems to know him better than anyone. As their cat-and-mouse dance unfolds, a slow-burn romance blossoms between the mortal doctor and the immortal being. Blending medical drama with supernatural intrigue, this series explores the profound question: can love exist between life and death? With three couples navigating their own emotional journeys, *Dear Doctor, I'm Coming for Soul* delivers a rare, bittersweet love story that refuses to shy away from mortality's hardest truths. A uniquely Thai take on the grim reaper mythos, it's a tearjerker that rewards patient viewers with an unforgettable, deeply human finale.

I came for the angry doctor and sexy reaper, but I stayed for the most heartbreakingly beautiful love story I've seen in years. Nut and Karn's chemistry is off the charts—every look, every fight, every kiss felt so real. The ending destroyed me in the best way. Yes, it's slow, but the payoff is so worth it. I've already rewatched the last episode four times.

I wanted to love this because the concept is fantastic, but the execution is sloppy. Prakan's inability to grasp that Tuaphee isn't a murderer—for a supposed genius surgeon—drove me insane. The reaper 'rules' change episode to episode, and the pacing drags with repetitive arguments. The side couples are rushed and forgettable. It's not terrible, but don't expect tight writing.

As a fan of the original y-novel by HUNGRYBIRD, I was nervous about the adaptation. The drama condenses a lot and changes some character details (Prakan is more sympathetic in the book), but it captures the emotional core beautifully. I wish they'd kept more of the reaper bureaucracy humor, but Karn and Nut bring Tua and Prakan to life in a way that feels fresh. A solid 8/10 for adaptation.

Visually, this series has moments of real beauty—the soft lighting in the hospital, the contrast between Tuaphee's Hawaiian shirts and his black reaper form. The camera lingers on faces during emotional beats, and the final montage is stunningly shot. But the cheap-looking green screen in a few scenes and those awkward kissing angles (why do they still do that?) pull you out. The OST, however, perfectly sets the melancholic mood.

I have mixed feelings. On one hand, the main couple's slow-burn and eventual communication is refreshing. On the other, the side couple's drunken hookup scene is a huge red flag—one character is clearly too intoxicated to consent, and it's played off as romantic. Plus, the reaper's immortality and the doctor's mortality raise uncomfortable power dynamics. The ending where Tuaphee waits for Prakan's reincarnation as a child made me deeply uneasy. Interesting themes, but the handling is problematic.
