In the sweltering heat of 1961, young Saengrawi Raemsawang is sent to the imposing Sitthikornkan Castle after turning 21, leaving behind the only home he's ever known. The castle's heir, Phraphloeng, is a cold and distant figure who has been living abroad—until now. Drawn together by an ancient family pact meant to break a generations-old curse, Rawi and Phloeng must navigate a forced engagement, simmering attraction, and the vengeful spirit of a wronged grandmother that haunts the halls at night. As ghostly encounters grow more violent and secrets of betrayal surface, the pair must unravel the truth behind the curse before the ghost claims Rawi's life. This is a hauntingly beautiful romance set against a backdrop of tradition, fate, and supernatural danger.

I watched this solely for Zee and NuNew and they did not disappoint! Their chemistry is off the charts—every glance, every touch felt so real. The historical setting made it even more dreamy. I ugly-cried at the ending. Pure BL magic!

The premise had potential but the execution was a mess. Characters make irrational decisions, the romance develops in one scene with a birthmark flashback, and the horror fizzles out. I kept asking 'why' through the whole runtime. Not worth the hype.

Visually, this film is a treat. The castle, the vintage cars, the soft candlelit interiors—every frame is a painting. But the horror scenes lacked real tension and the ghost looks a bit cheap. Still, I'd watch it again just for the production design.

Rawee's character is a textbook damsel in distress—constantly fainting, getting hurt, and being carried around by the 'manly' Phloeng. Swap the genders and you have a 1950s heteronormative romance. The film misses a chance to explore actual queer issues of the era. Disappointing.

I actually found the side couple (Phutson and Kraiphop) more intriguing than the mains. They had barely any screen time but their dynamic felt honest and refreshing. I wish the film had been longer to give them a proper arc. Still, a decent watch for ZeeNew fans.
