What do you do when a heated argument with your lifelong best friend ends with a car accident and you wake up in your sister's body? That's the fantastical predicament facing Win, a hot-headed young man who has just spent a year nursing a bitter grudge against Korn, the calm and devoted friend who was practically a member of the family. After Win's father unexpectedly left Korn a share of the family farm in his will, a misunderstanding shattered their 22-year bond, turning Win's grief into simmering anger. Now, thrown together by a supernatural twist, Win (in his sister Lin's body) and Korn must embark on a seven-day road trip across the stunning Thai countryside to collect holy water from seven temples — the only way to reverse the swap.

But *Cupid's Last Wish* is far more than a magical quest. At its heart, this is a tender, laugh-out-loud journey of reconnection. Stuck in close quarters with no escape, the two are forced to talk, bicker, and slowly peel back the layers of pride and pain that kept them apart. Korn, ever patient, sees only Win despite the different face, while Win must confront his own jealousy and insecurity. The series brilliantly balances laugh-out-loud moments — including a famously hilarious PMS episode — with genuinely moving scenes of vulnerability. From trying to buy sanitary pads to navigating awkward family dinners, every leg of the trip peels back another layer of their buried feelings. With gorgeous cinematography, a soundtrack that tugs at the heartstrings, and Earth and Mix delivering their most natural and emotionally charged performances yet, this isn't just a body-swap romp — it's a love letter to second chances, the courage to say 'I love you,' and the realization that some bonds are worth fighting for, even if it takes a miracle (or a little holy water) to fix them.

Okay, I'm a total EarthMix shipper so I'm biased, but this series literally made me cry and laugh in the same episode. The way Korn looks at Win even when he's in Lin's body — my heart cannot take it. And that cave scene where they write to each other in the dirt? I replayed it ten times. Body swap usually freaks me out but they handled it perfectly. The PMS scene had me wheezing, and then the finale gave me all the soft, kissy, bed-rolling fluff I ever wanted. If you love sweet, slow-burn romance with a touch of magic, watch this now. EarthMix forever!

I wanted to love this because Earth is amazing, but the plot relies on the most infuriating lack of communication I've seen in a while. Literally one conversation could have saved all the drama. Win spends most of the series being an obnoxious, screaming jerk and doesn't really grow until the last episode. The entire inheritance misunderstanding is paper-thin. Also, the mom's redemption felt completely unearned. I did enjoy the road trip scenery and the acting is decent, but the writing let everyone down. Skip unless you're a die-hard fan.

Visually, this series is a feast. From the golden hour shots of rice fields to the moody cave interiors, every frame looks like a painting. The color grading might have been controversial on streaming, but the YouTube version is pristine. I particularly loved the transition scenes between Lin and Mix — clever editing that never feels jarring. The food porn is also off the charts (those river prawns!). If you're a sucker for beautiful cinematography and lush Thai landscapes, you'll find plenty to admire. Just be prepared for some inconsistent lighting in indoor scenes.

I have mixed feelings. On the plus side, the body swap actually avoids some common pitfalls — Korn clearly loves Win's soul, not his body, and the show never suggests it's okay to touch someone without consent just because 'it's really your friend.' However, the way Lin's body is constantly described as 'weak' (she can't even drive?) feels subtly misogynistic. And the PMS episode, while funny, leans into stereotypes about women being hysterical on their period. Also, the mom's homophobic scheme gets swept under the rug with a quick apology. For a 2022 show, I expected a bit more awareness.

The music in Cupid's Last Wish is an absolute highlight. The main theme by Earth and Mix is so emotionally resonant — I had it on repeat for weeks. Each temple visit has its own subtle musical motif, and the use of 'Just Being Friendly' in that one scene gave me chills. The background score perfectly complements the bittersweet road trip vibe. Even if the plot wobbles (and it does), the soundtrack elevates every moment. I only wish there were a full album release with all the instrumental pieces.

I came for EarthMix but I stayed for Dr. Non and Lin! Their awkward, gentle romance was such a sweet contrast to the main couple's drama. Non's shaggy hair and glasses are adorable, and Lin's journey from a quiet pushover to someone standing up for herself was really satisfying. The scene where they finally kiss in the last episode had me screaming. I just wish we'd gotten more of their story — maybe a special episode? But I know this is a KornWin show, so I'll take what I can get. Side couples deserve more love!

As someone who read the original novel, the drama completely butchered the ending. In the book, the arranged marriage plot never happened — it was added purely for drama and it makes no sense. Also, Korn in the novel was much more proactive about confessing his feelings, while here he's just a passive saint. The body swap was handled better in the source material too, with more internal monologue. I know adaptations have to change things, but they inserted a whole nonsensical conflict that undermined the beautiful simplicity of the story. If you haven't read the book, you'll probably enjoy this, but as a purist I was disappointed.
