"If I tell you I like you, will you believe me?" This heartfelt Korean BL anthology weaves together four distinct love stories, each told over two bite-sized episodes. From the awkward sweetness of childhood friends taking a bike ride toward something more, to a quirky time-loop sparked by a drunken confession, each pair explores the delicate moments of unspoken affection and emotional firsts. There's a tragic, bittersweet tale of a fleeting connection cut short, and a workplace reunion where two men confront a past kiss that crossed a line. With no toxic drama, love triangles, or cheating, Close to You focuses purely on the soft, vulnerable beginnings of love. The eight male leads deliver genuine performances that make you root for them, even in just 20 minutes per story. It's a warm, easy watch that captures the flutter of a crush and the ache of a goodbye—perfect for anyone craving a quick, feel-good romance.

I absolutely adored this anthology! Each story gave me those warm fuzzy feelings without any unnecessary angst. The childhood friends bike ride and the time-loop confession were my favorites—so sweet and genuine. Even with short episodes, the chemistry between every pair felt real and made me smile the whole time.

It's cute and easy to watch, but let's be honest—we've seen these tropes a dozen times before. The short runtime leaves no room for character depth or meaningful conflict. The third story had a sad twist that felt rushed, and the office romance was cliché. Fine for a lazy afternoon, but nothing memorable.

I was genuinely surprised by the production value for an indie YouTube series. The soft lighting, clean framing, and color grading made every scene feel intimate and cinematic. The time-loop story used creative editing to enhance the quirkiness, and the winter tones in the third tale were gorgeous. Visually, it punches way above its budget.

I appreciate that most stories focus on healthy, non-toxic love. However, the fourth story includes a non-consensual kiss in the past and an unwanted touch at work—both played as romantic tension. That rubbed me the wrong way. I wish they had handled those moments with more awareness. Still, the first three stories are refreshingly wholesome.
