When exhausted university student Anton (Daryll Rodriguez) finishes his final exams, he expects nothing more than a quiet break—until a notification from his longtime crush, the popular dancer Miguel (Marky Erasga), pops up on the dating app Clik Clak Clok. Miguel invites Anton to team up for an online dance competition, pulling him into a whirlwind digital romance that blurs the line between fantasy and reality. As they practice virtual choreography through screens and late-night calls, their connection deepens, but Miguel is hiding a devastating secret that threatens to shatter everything. This short but emotionally charged Filipino miniseries explores the highs and lows of falling for someone you've never met in person, the loneliness of chasing dreams that keep slipping away, and the magic of finding love in the most unexpected places. With its inventive use of screen-capture storytelling, heavy-handed but heartfelt melodrama, and two earnest lead performances, Clik Clak Clok delivers a bittersweet, contemporary romance that resonates with anyone who has ever felt isolated behind a glowing screen.

I appreciate that Anton actually looks like a stressed student, and the opening code credits were clever. But the editing made me dizzy, the kiss was a stiff lip-press, and I have no idea what that ending was supposed to mean. A frustrating watch with some redeeming technical details.

This series has no logic. A famous dancer randomly messages a fan? Then they fall in love in two days? And the terminal illness reveal felt like a cheap plot device. The ending—was it all a dream? A hallucination? A mess. The acting is okay, but don't waste your time.

I actually found the digital romance sweet and relatable—lonely people connecting through screens is very timely. Marky and Daryll had decent chemistry, and I rooted for them despite the odd pacing. The ending broke my heart, but in a beautiful way. Not perfect, but worth a watch for the feels.

The opening credits with actual code snippets were a highlight—very creative. But the handheld camerawork during dialogue was nauseating, and the color grading felt washed out. Some neat visual ideas buried under messy execution. I wanted to love the look, but it hurt my eyes.

I have concerns about the power dynamic: a famous influencer with a fan who idolizes him, and the story never critically examines that imbalance. Additionally, the sudden illness reveal used as a catalyst for love feels emotionally manipulative. The show misses a chance to discuss healthy boundaries in online relationships.
