I absolutely loved this special! The constant hugging and kissing was everything I wanted. The main couple's chemistry is off the charts, and seeing them navigate a tiny misunderstanding with the help of their hilarious friends made me smile nonstop. A perfect treat for any shipper.

As a special, it's cute but predictable. The central conflict is a tired cliché I've seen in countless BL specials, and the voice-over narration felt unnecessary. The comedy sound effects also undercut some genuinely sweet moments. That said, the cast gives it their all, and fans of the series won't hate it.

I came in as a fan of the original novel, and this special captures the heart of the characters but simplifies their arcs. The GL subplot felt rushed and not as fleshed out as in the book, which was disappointing. However, the main romance stays true to the source material's sweetness, so I can't complain too much.

But the way the GL relationship was explained felt a bit clumsy and could have been handled with more nuance. The background music is pleasant, but the constant comedic sound effects (boing, wah-wah) really took me out of the emotional scenes. The voice-over also felt like a lazy storytelling shortcut. Still, the OST during the romantic montages was lovely and saved the experience for me. Could have been a 9 with better audio choices.
