I went in for the BL and stayed for the witchy vibes! Vaughn and Daryll had such raw, heartbreaking chemistry—I was rooting for them even when everything was falling apart. The horror elements actually made the love story feel more urgent and passionate. Totally underrated gem.

The premise is intriguing but the execution is messy. Too many subplots crammed into 90 minutes—witchcraft, infidelity, family secrets—but none get satisfying closure. The acting is decent, but the script needed more focus. I appreciate the ambition, but I was left more confused than moved.

The cinematography is easily the star here. Dark, moody lighting and clever use of shadows make the supernatural elements pop even on a modest budget. The camera lingers on faces beautifully, capturing every flicker of fear and desire. If only the story matched the visual ambition.

I respect that they tried to blend queer romance with Filipino folklore, but the infidelity plotline and some power dynamics felt problematic and unresolved. The lead gay relationship is sincere, but the surrounding characters' toxic behaviors are never really called out. Worth watching for representation, but with a critical eye.

The music really sets the uneasy, romantic mood. The main theme has this haunting guitar melody that stuck with me for days. Sound design during the witchcraft scenes is top-notch—whispers and chills. It elevated a lot of scenes that otherwise felt flat. I'd listen to the OST on its own.
