Have you ever loved someone so deeply that you'd wait a century for them? That's the epic, heart-wrenching premise of *Century of Love*. San, a man cursed to live for 100 years after making a desperate pact with a goddess, is running out of time. With only a year left and the excruciating 'Five Shades Stone' closing in on him, his only chance at survival and reunion is to find the reincarnation of his lost love, Wat. But fate has a wild twist: the soul he's been searching for returns not as the woman he remembers, but as Vee, a charming, mischievous, and very male young man. What follows is a soap opera of epic proportions—a chaotic, passionate, and deeply moving journey as San's century-old heart must learn to accept a love that defies gender, logic, and even death itself. Packed with fierce martial arts, a quirky found family, and a goddess who loves drama, this series is a wildly entertaining rollercoaster of tears, laughter, and sizzling chemistry that proves true love can't be defined by the past.

I am absolutely obsessed with Daou and Offroad. Their chemistry is off the charts—every longing look, every accidental touch had me screaming. Yes, the plot is insane and makes zero sense, but I don't care. San's journey from a grumpy old man to a vulnerable, loving partner had me in tears. The slow-motion love scene was everything. This is why I watch BL.

I wanted to love this because the premise is fantastic, but the execution was a disaster. The villains are laughably one-dimensional, the reincarnation mystery is never resolved, and characters make baffling decisions just to move the plot. Why does San suddenly forget about the stone? Why are there flashbacks every five minutes? It's a shame because the leads try their best, but the writing lets them down completely.

For a BL, the action scenes are surprisingly solid! San's century-old martial arts skills are a joy to watch—the choreography is crisp and stylized, and he fights like a total badass. The scene where he takes on a dozen thugs with a sword? Chef's kiss. Yes, the CGI is rough, but the practical fights more than make up for it. I came for the romance but stayed for the kicks.

Visually, this series is a mixed bag. The period flashbacks have gorgeous warm tones and richly saturated reds that really sell the romantic tragedy. However, the present-day scenes often feel flat and underlit. The overuse of slow motion during emotional beats becomes comical rather than poignant. I appreciate their ambition, but better color grading and tighter framing could have elevated this from messy to memorable.

The OST has exactly one standout song that plays at key moments, and it's beautiful—simple but emotionally wrecking. Unfortunately, the background score is a cacophony of over-dramatic strings and jarring comedy sound effects that clash with the tone. I found myself annoyed rather than moved. A more cohesive musical identity would have made the emotional scenes hit so much harder.
