In a quiet moment of courage, a guy confesses his hidden feelings by leaning in for a kiss. Rejected and angry, he storms out. What he doesn’t see is what happens next. The moment he leaves, another friend steps out… This short film masterfully unfolds a love triangle that isn’t what it seems, turning a simple rejection into a web of unspoken longing, jealousy, and devastating timing. With its raw emotional beats and a twist that will leave you breathless, 'Caught in the Act' captures the pain of loving in silence and the heartbreak of being just a second too late. A must-watch for fans of angsty, character-driven BL romance.

I’m still crying. The way he leaned in for that kiss – my heart shattered when he was rejected. But that twist? OH MY GOD. The chemistry between them was so intense and real, even in silence. This is why I love BL – pure, raw emotion. A masterpiece.

It's a nice short film, but the pacing felt rushed. The rejection scene could have used more buildup, and the twist – while clever – felt a bit too abrupt. I wanted more time with the characters to really feel the weight of their emotions. Still, a decent watch for a quick angst fix.

For a short film, the cinematography is stunning. The warm lighting during the confession contrasts beautifully with the cold, blue tones after the rejection. Every frame is carefully composed, and the final shot is pure poetry. The directors really understand visual storytelling.

I appreciate that the film shows a rejection being handled (mostly) respectfully – the 'no' is clear, and there's no coercion. But I wish the story had explored the friend's perspective more, especially around the ethics of the 'stepping out' moment. Still, it's a thoughtful take on unrequited love and the importance of timing.

That ending! I screamed! The way the camera lingers on the other friend's face – you can see the guilt and longing. I need a full series now! This short film does more with 15 minutes than most dramas do in 12 episodes. Give me more of this intense, painful love triangle.
