Pluem, the spirit of Khunkhao’s deceased boyfriend, awakens inside the body of Kim, a notorious Casanova and the last person Khunkhao would ever trust. Bound by a supernatural rule, Pluem must keep his true identity hidden—because if anyone discovers who he really is, he will have only 24 minutes left to live. As Khunkhao grapples with confusing feelings for this seemingly changed man, Pluem struggles to navigate Kim's life while secretly yearning to reveal his love. This Thai BL miniseries blends heartbreak, mystery, and second-chance romance in a compact two-episode arc. With its unique body-swap ghost premise, Casanova Begins offers a fresh twist on the supernatural genre, though viewers should prepare for a fast-paced narrative that demands close attention. Emotional moments and poignant chemistry between the leads make this a bittersweet watch for fans of unconventional love stories.

I really wanted to like this because the body-swap ghost premise is fresh for BL. Unfortunately, the storytelling is a mess. Characters are thrown at us without any context, flashbacks are poorly integrated, and the logic behind the rules is inconsistent. The ending felt rushed and unsatisfying. A great idea wasted on poor execution.

Despite the confusion, I loved the emotional core of this story. Pluem and Khunkhao's connection is so tender, even through the body-swap chaos. The kiss scenes were beautiful and full of longing. I cried at the end. This is a hidden gem for those who can look past the messy plot and focus on the romance.

The premise raises interesting questions about identity and consent. Pluem inhabits Kim's body without permission, and the show doesn't fully address the ethical implications. Khunkhao flirting with someone who hurt his sister is also problematic. The themes are there but underdeveloped. Still, it's a thought-provoking watch for those interested in supernatural ethics.

I was captivated by the moody, dreamlike cinematography. The color grading perfectly captures the supernatural atmosphere - soft blues and warm golds. There's a beautiful shot of rain on glass that really sets the tone. Even if the plot is hard to follow, the visual storytelling kept me engaged.
