Set against the neon-lit streets of contemporary Seoul, *Cancelled Faces* is a raw, intimate art-house drama that follows Unk, a restless young man drifting through the night on his scooter. When a reckless moment leads him to collide with a drunk stranger named Boaz, their chance encounter spirals into a passionate, obsessive romance. As the two men navigate the fragile boundaries between love, trauma, and redemption, the film peels back layers of longing and loneliness. With a moody, almost dreamlike aesthetic and a soundtrack that hums with urban melancholy, this Korean indie gem offers a hauntingly beautiful exploration of connection in a disconnected world—perfect for viewers who crave stories that feel more like a poem than a plot.

A deeply atmospheric film that feels like a fever dream. The cinematography and sound design are stunning—every shadow and hum of the scooter engine adds to the tension. The romance is messy and real, but the pacing left me a bit lost in the middle. Still, I'd recommend it to anyone who loves mood over plot.

I honestly didn't expect to fall so hard for this film. Unk and Boaz have this raw, desperate chemistry that made my chest ache. Yes, it's slow and strange, but that's exactly why it feels so honest. If you want a love story that doesn't hold your hand, this is it.

I appreciate the artistic intent, but the narrative feels too disjointed for me. Characters make decisions that seem random, and the scooter accident that starts everything is barely explained. The low rating from the community is fair—this is an acquired taste that didn't land for me.

The film deserves credit for showing a queer relationship that is complicated and not sanitized. However, I was uncomfortable with the power imbalance and how intoxication is used as a plot device without much critical reflection. It raises important questions about consent and accountability, but doesn't fully answer them.

The score and ambient sounds are the real stars of this film. That low synth drone mixed with distant city noise is hypnotic. I wish the story had a bit more clarity, but the music alone made it worth my time. I've been hunting for the OST ever since.
