In the heart of Bangkok, Kawee is determined to revive his late grandmother's beloved coffee shop, which is on the brink of closure. With the help of his loyal best friend Paew and a quirky group of regulars, he pours his heart into renovations, new recipes, and quirky marketing stunts. Enter Phupa, a reserved architect with a hidden past, who becomes an unlikely partner in the café's transformation. As the aroma of fresh brew mingles with blossoming feelings, Kawee and Phupa navigate their own insecurities—Kawee's fear of failure and Phupa's struggle with self-acceptance. But the café isn't the only place where love brews: Kawee's brother Gawin and the older Tonmai explore a complicated connection, while Tai and his childhood friend dance around jealousy. *Cafe in Love* is a slow-burn, feel-good series that celebrates found family, the courage to be yourself, and the sweet chaos of falling for someone when you least expect it.

I came for the coffee shop setting and stayed for Kawee and Phupa's adorable awkwardness. Their slow-burn was just my cup of tea—sweet, with a little bit of bitterness. The friends really make this show shine, and I loved how each couple got their own moment. Not perfect, but it warmed my heart.

Honestly, I was more invested in Gawin and Tonmai's messy redemption arc. Their tension was electric, and I wanted more of their backstory. The main couple felt a bit flat in comparison. If the whole show had focused on the side pair, I'd rate it higher.

The pacing was a mess—9 episodes of filler and then a rushed finale where everyone suddenly gets together. The acting felt wooden, and the script relied on every cliché in the book. I wanted to like it, but the plot holes were too big to ignore.

I cannot overlook the scene where an unconscious character is sexually abused and the show treats it as a romantic turning point. In 2023, we should know better. The positive self-acceptance message was nice, but it's completely overshadowed by that irresponsible narrative choice.

The OST was a letdown—generic pop that didn't match the cozy café vibe. I kept waiting for a song that would give me chills, but it never came. The show itself had some sweet moments, but the music made it feel cheap.
