Jin Ho is a 29-year-old man who has never had sex, and he's starting to feel the pressure. After a series of disastrous attempts to find a hookup via a dating app, his friends' relentless teasing only deepens his desperation. What begins as a comedic, cringe-worthy quest for a quick fix takes an unexpected turn when his best friend steps up to help. This 29-minute short film from acclaimed Korean studio Strongberry balances laugh-out-loud humor with genuine tenderness, exploring themes of friendship, self-acceptance, and the messy reality of seeking intimacy. The chemistry between the leads feels refreshingly natural, and the film's candid portrayal of gay friendship in Korea is both rare and warmly relatable. With a surprising twist that subverts expectations, 'Buddy Park' is a delightful, bite-sized gem that proves sometimes the best connections are the ones we least expect.

I absolutely melted watching Jin Ho and his best friend. The chemistry is so natural and the way their relationship evolves from funny banter to something genuinely tender had me grinning the whole time. That kiss? Perfect. Short but so satisfying.

I get the appeal—it's funny and the actors commit—but the story is basically one joke stretched to 29 minutes. The twist at the end felt like a punchline to a setup that didn't earn it. Fine for a quick laugh but don't expect depth.

I appreciated how the film addresses virginity anxiety without judgment, and the sex scene, while comedic, still shows clear mutual consent and communication between friends. It's a small step for better queer representation in Korean media.

For a 29-minute short, the cinematography is surprisingly polished. Warm color grading, intimate framing during the emotional beats, and clever use of close-ups during the comedic scenes. Strongberry always delivers visually.

The background music is subtle but effective—it never overpowers the scenes. The main theme has a light, playful melody that fits the tone perfectly. Not a standout OST, but it does its job without being intrusive.
