Set within the halls of a single high school, "BL: Boku no Kareshi wo Shokai Shimasu" is a tender Japanese omnibus film that weaves together four distinct love stories across seven students and one teacher. From the hushed secrecy of a teacher-student bond in "Secrets with the Teacher" to the playful tensions of best friends discovering deeper feelings, each tale explores the quiet, awkward, and exhilarating moments of first love and self-discovery. The anthology format allows for a rich tapestry of experiences—heartfelt confessions, stolen glances, and the courage it takes to be true to oneself. While the production carries a nostalgic 2009 charm, the emotional honesty of its young cast makes this a sweet, slice-of-life gem for fans of classic school-set BL.

I adore these four little love stories! Each couple has such a cute dynamic, especially the best friends who slowly realize they like each other. The shy hand-holding and blushing—so nostalgic. It reminds me of old-school Japanese BL manga come to life.

I wanted to like this more, but the film feels rushed. Each story is barely 20 minutes, so character development is thin. The teacher-student one is especially problematic with zero consequences. The acting is okay for 2009, but the anthology format left me wanting more depth.

The soft lighting and muted colors give this film a warm, dreamy quality. I love how each segment has its own visual mood—the rooftop scenes glow with golden hour magic. Sure, it's low-budget, but the cinematography nails that nostalgic school atmosphere.

As a beginner-friendly BL, I appreciated the gentle tone, but the teacher-student story raised red flags for me. The power dynamic isn't addressed at all, and it feels glossed over. The other three stories are sweet—especially the friends-to-lovers one—but that segment bothered me.
