When unemployed sweetheart Seol Won is left to run his mother's boarding house while she's away, he expects a quiet summer. Instead, he gets a chaotic household full of quirky tenants: his loud cousin, a grumpy novelist, a food-obsessed high schooler, and a shy aspiring chef. The real complication arrives with new tenant Kim Cheol Soo, a handsome and athletic PE teacher whose calm presence unsettles Seol Won in the best way. As these two navigate awkward encounters, shared meals, and ridiculous housemate antics, a gentle romance begins to bloom – full of blushing glances, accidental touches, and those heart-fluttering small moments that feel like coming home. Adapted from a popular webtoon, this lighthearted Korean BL is a delightful comfort watch that captures the warmth and chaos of found family. With its charming leads, playful humor, and short episode format, Oh! Boarding House offers a sweet, low-stakes escape into a world where love slowly grows in the most unexpected places.

I absolutely adored this! Yes, the production is low-budget and the story is simple, but the leads are just so cute together – their awkwardness felt real and made me smile like an idiot. That bus stop scene? My heart melted. Perfect for when you need a quick, fluffy pick-me-up.

I wanted to like this more, but the pacing is a mess – barely any development for the main couple, while we waste time on annoying side characters and an unnecessary straight pairing. The leads have zero chemistry and the kissing is painfully chaste. Skip unless you're desperate for background noise.

Visually, it's a mixed bag – the boarding house interiors are warm and inviting, but the soft-focus filter is overused to the point of blurriness, and there are some glaring crew reflections in mirrors. The gym scene lighting is decent, but overall it looks like a rushed web drama. Not awful, just unpolished.

As someone who read the webtoon first, I was disappointed. They changed the main characters' dynamics for the worse, making Seol Won come across as creepy instead of endearingly awkward. The side plots from the manhwa are crammed in without proper development. Stick to the source material.

I found Seol Won's early behavior really problematic – barging into rooms, touching Cheol Soo while he slept, and generally ignoring boundaries. The show never addresses this as wrong, which is a red flag. The lack of proper communication and consent in the romance bothered me throughout. Not a healthy model.
