Big Dragon kicks off with a premise that’s as audacious as it is controversial: two handsome, wealthy playboys, Yai and Mangkorn, go from bitter romantic rivals to a night that changes everything—literally. When Yai’s plan to drug and blackmail Mangkorn backfires spectacularly, the pair find themselves entangled in a wild, consensually ambiguous encounter that sets off a chain reaction of blackmail, obsession, and unexpected feelings. What follows is a chaotic, visually lush enemies-to-lovers story that wears its heart on its sleeve, even if its logic sometimes stumbles. Beneath the glossy cinematography and the constant cat-and-mouse game, Big Dragon dares to explore themes of power reversal, misplaced desire, and the messy, often irrational path to love. The chemistry between leads Mos Panuwat and ISBANKY is electric—their intense stares, playful bickering, and surprisingly tender moments anchor the series through its wild tonal shifts. Yes, the plot is overstuffed with subplots (childhood flashbacks, arranged marriage threats, study abroad angst), and the narrative leaps can feel jarring. But for viewers willing to surrender to the ride, Big Dragon delivers a uniquely spicy, binge-worthy experience that never shies away from its darker edges. It’s a drama that constantly asks: can you fall for someone after the worst possible start? And somehow, against all odds, it almost convinces you it’s possible.

I absolutely adored Big Dragon! Yes, the plot is a hot mess, but Mos and ISBANKY’s chemistry is off the charts. Their stares, their bickering, that tender moment at the claw machine—I was melting. The OST gives me chills every time. If you just want to see two gorgeous men fall in love (no matter how implausibly), this is pure BL heaven. I’ve already rewatched Episode 7 five times!

I wanted to love this, but the writing is so inconsistent. The first episode sets up this dark revenge thriller, then suddenly we’re in a fluffy campus romance with zero explanation. Characters flip personalities like light switches. The bodyguards are cartoonishly dumb. And that finale? A 40-minute conversation about ordering flowers. Seriously? The acting and visuals are solid, but the plot needed a hard edit. Watchable if you turn your brain off, but don’t expect coherence.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this. Both male leads commit serious crimes—drugging, attempted rape, blackmail—and the show tries to sell it as a hot love story. There’s no real acknowledgment of the harm, no apology, just ‘now they’re in love.’ The way women are treated as disposable sex objects is disgusting. This isn’t dark romance; it’s romanticized abuse. Huge trigger warning needed. I’m honestly disturbed by how many viewers overlook this.

I’m here for the music! ISBANKY’s ‘Dancing With The Devil’ is one of the best BL OSTs I’ve ever heard—haunting, passionate, perfectly fitting the drama’s vibe. The score throughout is also top-notch, complementing every emotional beat. Even if the plot is messy, I found myself rewinding just to hear the songs again. For that alone, Big Dragon earns a high spot in my playlist. Can’t wait for a full soundtrack release!

Visually, Big Dragon is a treat. The color grading (red for Yai, green for Mangkorn), the slick camera angles, the expensive cars and neon-lit bars—every frame is Instagram-worthy. The production value is clearly high. However, some shots are too obviously staged (the rain during the argument, the slow-mo kisses) and take me out of the moment. Still, for pure eye candy, it delivers. I just wish the script matched the visuals.

I read the original novel, which is basically 90% NC-17 content and 10% plot. The drama tried to add a proper story but ended up with a cliched, watered-down mess. They removed most of the BDSM elements, changed character motivations, and added a boring childhood flashback. If you want the real Big Dragon, read the book. The series feels like a sanitized, confused adaptation that doesn’t know what it wants to be.

I was so excited for the f/f couple teased in the trailer—finally some lesbian rep in BL! But they got maybe 5 minutes of screen time, no development, and felt like an afterthought. The bodyguards had more scenes and they’re not even a couple. This is why BL dramas need to stop baiting side couples. The main couple’s story is a trainwreck too, but at least it’s messy in an entertaining way. Disappointed all around.
