Beki Problems is a wildly entertaining Filipino BL comedy-drama that dives headfirst into the chaotic, colorful world of LGBTQ+ nightlife and self-discovery. I absolutely lived for the tension between Tim and the sugar daddy! The awkwardness, the stolen glances, the way they slowly opened up to each other—my heart couldn't take it. Plus the friend group is comedy gold. Yes, it's a bit messy, but that's what makes it feel real. More Filipino BL like this, please!

I wanted to like this more, but the pacing is all over the place. The sugar daddy plotline starts intriguing but then gets resolved too conveniently. Tim's internal conflict feels repetitive, and the side characters, while funny, often derail the main story. It has its moments, but I wouldn't call it groundbreaking. A decent watch if you're desperate for Pinoy BL.

I appreciate that the show tackles sugar daddy relationships and the power imbalance—something many BLs shy away from. However, I wish it had explored the consent and emotional manipulation angles more critically rather than romanticizing the dynamic so much. Still, it's refreshing to see a Filipino series center 'beki' culture without mockery. Good for a light binge, but don't expect deep social commentary.

The music in Beki Problems really elevated every scene—the playful pop tracks during the group hangouts and the soft OPM ballads during the romantic moments were perfectly chosen. I actually searched for the playlist afterward. The acting could be a bit over-the-top sometimes, but the sound design and song choices made me forgive a lot. A fun, noisy watch!

The color grading is warm and inviting—lots of neon pinks and purples that capture the club vibe perfectly. Some of the framing in emotional scenes felt a bit amateurish (Dutch angles used way too much), but the costume design for the 'beki' friends was a feast for the eyes. It's not a visual masterpiece, but it has a distinct, energetic style that matches the tone.
