Set against the lush, cascading beauty of a remote waterfall resort, *Baka Sakali* follows Seymour, a young man whose heart initially flutters for his long-time crush, Faith. But when he crosses paths with the free-spirited Ferds during a weekend getaway, a simple friendship quickly blossoms into something far deeper—and more confusing. As the two explore hidden trails and share quiet moments by the water, Seymour finds himself grappling with feelings he never expected, leading to a tender awakening of his own bisexuality. This Philippine web movie captures the warmth of first love, the thrill of self-discovery, and the gentle push-and-pull of a romance that blooms far from the noise of everyday life. With sincere performances from Bong Ramos and Drei Arias, *Baka Sakali* offers a heartfelt, low-key story about choosing the person who makes your world feel whole.

I honestly adored Seymour and Ferds' connection. The waterfall scenes were gorgeous, and that first kiss felt so real. Sure, the acting is a bit rough around the edges, but the heart is totally there. If you want a simple, feel-good romance with Filipino warmth, this is it.

The plot is paper-thin—basically just two guys meeting at a resort and falling in love with zero conflict. The dialogue feels stilted and the pacing drags in the middle. I wanted to like it for the representation, but it needed a real script and better direction.

The waterfall resort is stunning, and the cinematography makes the most of the natural light. Some shots are genuinely beautiful—sunlight filtering through leaves, reflections in the water. Sadly, the editing is choppy and the color grading is inconsistent. A visual upgrade would've made this shine.

I appreciate that the film portrays Seymour’s bisexuality without heavy drama or fetishization. The consent between the leads is clear and sweet. However, the rushed resolution glosses over the complexity of coming out. It’s a nice start but could have gone deeper.

The background music is pleasant but forgettable—just generic acoustic guitar that fades into the background. I was hoping for a standout Filipino indie track to elevate the emotional moments. The waterfall sounds were actually more memorable than the score.
