In this poignant Thai short film, a heated argument with his girlfriend sends Net spiraling into emotional turmoil. Seeking solace, he finds unexpected comfort in his co-worker Jame, whose quiet kindness and lingering glances begin to blur the lines of friendship. Told with minimal dialogue and carried by the expressive performances of Net Siraphop and James Supamongkon, “Back” unfolds like an aching music video, weaving together a story of yearning and silent confession. Set against the cozy backdrop of a small café, the film captures the fragile, unspoken moments of two men teetering on the edge of something deeper. Adapted from the song “ย้อน” (Yon), every frame pulses with its melody, making the viewing experience as heart-wrenching as it is beautiful. While misunderstandings threaten to pull them apart, the film leaves you with a lingering hope that love, like a song, can loop back around.

I'm completely melted! Net and James have this incredible quiet chemistry that speaks volumes. Every glance, every tiny smile—I felt their yearning right in my chest. Even without a kiss, this short film made me believe in love at first sight all over again.

The cinematography is stunning for a short film—soft lighting, warm café tones, and those lingering close-ups that capture every flicker of emotion. It's like watching a moving painting. The only reason I'm not giving a 10 is the plot could've been a bit tighter, but visually it's a treat.

I discovered this because of the song, and honestly I've had 'ย้อน' on repeat ever since. The way the music swells exactly when Net and Jame lock eyes—pure perfection. This is what happens when a MV becomes a mini drama. A must-watch for any OST lover!

Nice to look at, but the story feels too rushed and the misunderstanding could've been solved with a simple conversation. The lack of any verbal resolution left me a bit frustrated. Good acting and music, but as a plot, it relies too heavily on tropes without payoff.

I appreciate that the film normalizes two men falling for each other without any homophobic drama—it's just two co-workers connecting. The bisexual representation (Net's character had a girlfriend) is subtly handled, though I wish we'd seen a bit more exploration of that identity. Still, a refreshingly low-angst watch.
