Picking up after the heartbreaking events of Ben X Jim, this sequel plunges us into a world where love, loss, and the search for closure take center stage. Jim (Jerome Ponce) is a shell of his former self, working as a barista and haunted by Ben's mysterious disappearance. With the support of a quirky, found-family group of friends at a gay café, Jim embarks on a journey to uncover the truth. But when Ben (Easy Ferrer) reemerges with a new life and a new partner, the series becomes less about rekindling a flame and more about the painful, necessary process of healing. B X J Forever boldly explores right love, wrong timing, and the profound reality that sometimes moving forward means letting go—making it a raw, emotionally resonant watch for those who appreciate mature storytelling.

I know the reviews are harsh, but for me, this season hit deep. Jim's pain was so real it felt like my own heart was breaking. Yes, it's not a fluffy romance—it's about two people who love each other but can't make it work, and that's brutally honest. Jerome Ponce deserves all the awards for that crying scene on the rooftop.

This was a mess. The timeline jumps made zero sense—flashbacks to 2013 with adult actors playing teens? And Ben basically faking his death without proper explanation? The title is clickbait; they barely end up together. A frustrating waste of time after the decent first season. I'm done with this universe.

I appreciate how this series tackled SOGIE bill discussions and showed a diverse range of queer experiences—including a trans character played by a trans actor. However, Ben's manipulation and the 'playing dead' plot point are major red flags from a consent perspective. The message about unhealthy attachments is strong, but the execution was rough.

The production value is a huge upgrade from Season 1—beautiful lighting, lovely location shots in the countryside, and a gorgeous color palette that matches the melancholic tone. But the editing is choppy, and some scenes feel stitched together. Also, the constant flashbacks interrupted the visual flow. A mixed bag for the eyes.

Honestly? I only kept watching for Flo and Dante—their wholesome romance was a ray of sunshine. And Yana and Olan's journey of self-discovery was way more compelling than Ben and Jim's endless angst. The side couples deserved their own spin-off. The main plot was a hot mess, but the ensemble made it tolerable.
