What happens when two broke college roommates become accidental parents? In this wildly original Filipino BL, Joey and Jimmy find themselves secretly caring for a mysterious baby, Butch, inside their male dormitory. Balancing lectures, laundry, and late-night diaper changes, the pair is forced into an unconventional partnership that slowly blooms into something deeper. Based on a true story, *Amore* explores the messy, tender reality of young love and found family—where vulnerability, sacrifice, and stolen glances replace the usual campus romance tropes. While the production wears its low-budget heart on its sleeve, the raw authenticity of the cast (led by Lava Haganos and Jodi Garcia) and the unique premise make for a charming, if uneven, journey. Expect a slow-burn emotional core wrapped in a bizarrely addictive slice-of-life drama that asks: can love survive when you're hiding a baby, a secret, and your own heart?.

I'm a sucker for found-family stories, and this one hit me right in the feels. Joey and Jimmy's chemistry is so natural—watching them go from awkward dorm mates to secret co-parents to lovers was a beautiful, slow-burn journey. Yes, the sound is awful and the baby plot gets messy, but the heart is so genuine. I cried when they finally kissed. If you can look past the technical problems, this is an underrated gem.

I went in with an open mind, but this series is a masterclass in wasted potential. The premise is gold, but the execution is glacial—scenes drag on forever, characters disappear without explanation, and the finale is an insult to anyone who invested 27 episodes. The baby subplot goes nowhere, and the ending makes zero sense. The actors tried their best, but the script and editing were sabotaged. Save your time.

I can forgive low budgets if the vision is there, but *Amore* fails on almost every technical level. The sound is atrocious—constant mic rustling, background noise, and volume jumps. The camera work screams 'home video': blurry focus, shaky shots, and bizarre framing. The lighting is flat, and the editing jumps around like they forgot to film transitions. Even the dialogue is muffled. The actors deserved better; this needed professional production from day one.

I wanted to love the baby-dorm dynamic, but the romance is built on shaky ground. Several characters push boundaries without clear consent (the male lead's constant advances early on, the obsessive behavior from Nuan). The show also sidelines female characters and glosses over Princess' trauma. On the positive side, it does portray a makeshift family and emotional vulnerability between men, which is refreshing. Still, it needed better awareness of healthy relationships.

I stayed for Wil and Joey—they had way more spark than the main couple! Their tension, the way Wil softened around Joey, and that weird houseplant symbolism? Gold. I was so disappointed they weren't endgame. The series kept teasing them and then pulled that ridiculous finale. Still, for Wil's performance alone, this is worth a watch. He's magnetic. Just skip to his scenes and make up your own ending.
