Convinced their once-effortless love is fading, Nhai enlists the help of his friend Ton to follow Ai to a remote resort. What unfolds is a tender, heartfelt journey of miscommunication, jealousy, and ultimately, a grand romantic gesture that reaffirms their bond. Packed with the signature sweetness and humorous misunderstandings fans adore, *Ai Nhai* is a delightful epilogue that explores whether love can survive the mundane challenges of a long-term relationship. I absolutely adored this special! Ai and Nhai's chemistry is still off the charts, and seeing Nhai chase after Ai for once was so refreshing. The proposal scene made me tear up—it's everything a shipper could ask for. Ignore the haters; this is pure fluff done right.

I get that they wanted a cute ending, but the whole conflict is built on Ai being inexplicably secretive about a proposal. For a couple that communicated so well in the main series, this felt like a lazy retread of old tropes. The dream sequences were funny, but the plot holes are glaring.

The seaside resort setting is gorgeous, and there are some nice wide shots that give the episode a mini-vacation vibe. But the empty bookshelf in the lunch scene really pulled me out—it's such a basic set design fail. Still, the lighting and color grading are warm and dreamy, fitting the romantic tone.

Having read the novel, I appreciate that they kept the core sweetness of Ai and Nhai's relationship, but the special deviates a lot from the source material's timeline. The Ton/Chon side story is barely touched—Chon doesn't even appear! It's a nice farewell for drama-only fans, but novel readers may feel shortchanged.

The background music is sadly forgettable—generic acoustic guitar that doesn't elevate any scene. I was hoping for a new OST to match the beautiful visuals, but this is a miss. The sound mix during the dream sequences is decent, but overall the audio landscape is bland.
