Evo is running from a past that shattered him. Haunted by a toxic relationship and desperate for peace, he retreats to a quiet town, hoping to bury his pain and finally breathe. But escaping his memories isn't so simple—he left behind a promise, and fate has a stubborn way of holding people accountable. Enter Aedan, a mysterious figure nursing his own wounds from a broken engagement. When their paths collide, an unexpected and intense connection forms—one that challenges both men to confront what they're truly afraid of: trusting again. This Filipino miniseries weaves a raw, emotional tale of two broken souls finding solace in each other, shot with a DIY sincerity that makes every heartfelt moment land. Despite a shoestring budget, 'Aedan' charms with its earnest performances and a story that prioritizes emotional healing over flashy drama. It's a quiet, angsty journey about the courage to love after loss, and the messy, beautiful process of letting go.

I loved how raw and real this felt. Evo and Aedan's connection didn't feel forced—it grew out of shared pain. The acting isn't polished, but the chemistry made up for it. A hidden gem if you're patient with low budgets.

The plot holes are hard to ignore. Evo not recognizing Aedan from the magazine, the random virgin line, and that rushed ending—it felt like they gave up. The production looks like a student project. Only redeeming part is the queer representation.

I appreciate that they cast trans and queer actors, but the consent and power dynamics were messy. The sudden kiss after a traumatic breakup felt off. Still, it's important to support Filipino BL that tries to tell deeper stories.

The OST is literally one song repeated over and over. It got grating after episode 2. The background score is practically nonexistent. For a drama that relies on mood, the audio design let it down badly.

Visually it's rough—lighting is inconsistent, some shots are poorly framed, and the color grading feels flat. But I saw moments of real directorial intent, like the way they framed Evo's isolation. With a bigger budget, this creator could do something great.
