Five years after a heartbreaking separation, Lu Feng and Xiao Chen are thrown back together when Lu Feng becomes Xiao Chen's new boss. The spark between them reignites instantly, but their reunion is haunted by old wounds, societal pressure, and a mother's dying wish. As they tentatively rebuild their relationship, Lu Feng's obsessive love spirals into dark territory, leading to captivity, manipulation, and a desperate struggle for control.

This Chinese BL film is a raw, emotional rollercoaster that doesn't shy away from the ugly side of love. With a time jump that skips over years of pain, the story dives headfirst into obsession, heartbreak, and the question of whether some bonds are too damaged to heal. The ambiguous ending leaves viewers torn between hope and despair, making it a haunting watch that lingers long after the credits roll. Part 2 of this duology is darker, more intense, and far from a typical romance—but for those craving complex, messy love stories, it's unforgettable.

I can't stop thinking about this movie. Yes, it's messy and the editing is choppy, but the sheer emotional impact is insane. The way Lu Feng's love turns into obsession felt so real and painful. That ending destroyed me. If you want a BL that actually makes you feel something, watch this.

This was a trainwreck from start to finish. The time jump is jarring, character motivations make zero sense, and the plot is full of holes. How does no one get arrested? The acting is melodramatic and the rape scenes are gratuitous, not constructive. A waste of a decent first movie.

I appreciate that the film tries to show how societal homophobia and parental pressure can destroy lives, but the way it handles consent is deeply problematic. The romanticization of an abusive captor is dangerous. Also, the dead mom guilt-trip trope is overused and frustrating. Not a healthy portrayal of queer love.

Visually, this film is a mixed bag. Some scenes have striking compositions and moody lighting that heighten the tension, but the rapid-fire editing and jarring cuts ruin the flow. The soundtrack is actually decent—it carries the emotional beats when the editing fails. Would love to see these actors in a better-produced project.

As someone who read the original novel, I can see they tried to adapt the dark essence, but the movie rushes through key developments and squashes nuance. Lu Feng's descent into obsession is more layered in the book. Still, Gao Tai Yu's performance captures the dangerous charisma well. A flawed but faithful attempt.
