In the remote, mist-shrouded village of Kaen Makrut, Jedi, a charismatic young YouTuber, arrives to film a travel documentary showcasing the region’s breathtaking landscapes and unique culture. What begins as a simple production quickly becomes a haunting journey when he meets Asi, a reserved man from an ethnic minority group. Their unexpected connection sparks a tender romance, but Jedi soon realizes Asi is entangled in a web of secrets—a hidden past, a mysterious disappearance, and a community torn by prejudice. As tensions escalate and eerie events unfold, love becomes a dangerous refuge. A Good Yesterday blends lush rural beauty with creeping dread, delivering a short but potent thriller that explores identity, loss, and the courage to love in the face of darkness.

I barely made it through the first episode. The synopsis promised a travel show and a love story, but all I got was endless sex scenes and pretty landscapes. No plot, no character development, no reason to care. By the time something interesting supposedly happens later, I was already checked out. Complete waste of time.

Visually stunning—the misty rice terraces, the wooden stilt houses, the way the light falls on Asi’s face. Every frame could be a painting. The sex scenes are shot with an almost artistic rawness. Story-wise, it’s thin, but if you’re here for atmosphere and gorgeous actors, this delivers.

I wanted to love a drama set in an ethnic minority context, but the handling of consent is troubling. The power dynamic between the urban YouTuber and the isolated local feels exploitative, and the multiple explicit scenes lack emotional groundwork. The hate crime subplot is brushed aside too quickly. This needed more nuance and less shock value.

I normally love a slow-burn with a rural setting, but the pacing here is all over the place. The chemistry between Jedi and Asi is there—you can feel their longing—but it gets drowned out by the thriller elements and too much explicit content for just three episodes. Mixed feelings; I wanted more heart, less heat.

Don’t come expecting action—this is a psychological thriller, not a fight fest. The mystery around the disappearance kept me watching, and the eerie vibe in the second half is genuinely unsettling. The romance is just a backdrop. It’s decent for a quick binge, but the sex scenes felt like filler.
