Meet Amai Koichi, a hopelessly romantic high schooler with a talent for baking and a heart full of crushes. Armed with the quirky belief that locking eyes with someone for exactly 8.2 seconds sparks instant love, Koichi sets out on a sugary mission: win over the handsome guys at his school by solving their problems with perfectly crafted desserts. But his sweet plans backfire hilariously as each crush takes a single bite, thanks him absentmindedly, and walks away—leaving Koichi and his untouched masterpieces behind. Through a series of short, charming vignettes, Koichi learns that love isn't a recipe you can follow. With dreamy fantasy sequences, a scene-stealing sister, and genuine culinary insights, this five-episode miniseries is a light, visually delightful confection. The real surprise? When the pursuer becomes the pursued, Koichi discovers that the truest connection often comes from the quietest admirer all along.

I'm a sucker for any BL with cooking, and this one absolutely delivered! Shuzo is just the cutest little baker, and I loved seeing him chase after those boys with his desserts. The ending made my heart flutter—so wholesome! My only complaint is that nobody ever finishes the food, which is a crime.

This felt like a series of repetitive sketches rather than a proper story. Amai's instant crushes on every new guy made zero sense, and the romance at the end was crammed into the last three minutes. I kept waiting for something substantial to happen, but it never did. Cute visuals can't save poor plotting.

The color grading is absolutely stunning—warm pastels that make every dessert pop. I loved the dream sequences with their soft focus and playful transitions. The food cinematography is Michelin-star level. If only the script had matched the visual polish, this could have been a masterpiece.

I came for the BL and stayed for the music! Imase's ending theme is an absolute bop—I've had it on repeat. The background tracks are light and playful, perfectly matching the fluffy tone. Shame the series is so short; I would've loved a full OST release.

On the surface it's harmless fluff, but I couldn't ignore how Koichi's approach to love feels like a series of small boundary pushes—staring, spying, baking unsolicited 'problem-solving' gifts. The narrative never critiques this, even though the boys clearly aren't interested. I'm glad the ending offers a mutual connection, but the journey gave me pause.
