In the bustling world of university life, Tine is a cheerful, popular cheerleader who finds himself in an unwanted romantic pursuit by Green, a persistent admirer. Desperate for a solution, his friends suggest a classic BL trope: fake-dating the campus's most sought-after and enigmatic figure, Sarawat. Sarawat, a talented musician and soccer star, agrees to the charade, setting off a chain of events that blurs the lines between pretense and reality. The early episodes sizzle with playful banter, longing glances, and the thrill of a blossoming connection, winning over viewers with its lighthearted, fluffy charm. However, as the fake relationship evolves into something real and the couple moves in together, the narrative takes a controversial turn. What was once a promising romance begins to lose its spark, with the leads' chemistry fading into awkwardness and a puzzling lack of physical affection. Despite its strong start and iconic soundtrack, the series ultimately becomes a tale of missed opportunities, leaving many fans frustrated by its shift from a heartfelt love story to a chaste, bro-like companionship. This series remains a cultural phenomenon for its first half alone, but it also serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of consistent romantic development in BL storytelling.

I came into this series expecting butterflies and swoon-worthy romance, but all I got was a giant high-five to the face. The first episodes were perfect—the fake dating trope, the longing stares, the playful fights. I was shipping Sarawat and Tine so hard. But once they got together? It's like the director forgot they were supposed to be in love. They live together but act like awkward roommates. No kisses, no hugs that felt genuine, just awkward head pats. The ending made me so angry. How do you make a BL where the main couple has zero chemistry after they become official? I feel cheated.

I can see why this is popular, but as a story, it's a mess. The first half is genuinely fun and well-paced, with a clear arc. Then around episode 8, the script goes off the rails. The characters stop making sense—Tine becomes a crying mess for no reason, Sarawat turns into a wooden statue. The conflicts are lazy: an ex-girlfriend, a jealous rival, and a total lack of communication. The worst part is the editing; scenes jump around with no logic. The 'high five' ending is honestly laughable. If you watch this, pretend it ends after episode 7. The writing just abandoned all pretense of romance.

I'm rating this almost entirely for the music. Scrubb's songs are the soul of this series. Every time 'Kan Goo' or 'Come Closer' played, my heart ached in the best way. The way the soundtrack underscores every emotional beat is incredible. Even the main couple's lack of intimacy didn't bother me as much because the music told the story of their love. Bright's cover of the theme song is also amazing. Honestly, if you love music-driven dramas, this is a treat. The plot may falter, but the OST is perfection.

As someone who adored the novel by JittiRain, this adaptation is a betrayal. The book had real passion, playful banter, and a couple who actually expressed affection. The drama took all that and sanitized it. Sarawat in the novel was bold and romantic; in the series he becomes a cold, distant roommate. The last three episodes are practically unrecognizable. The ending with the high-five instead of a proper kiss? The novel had them kissing multiple times! It's so disappointing because the actors had potential, but the director clearly didn't respect the source material. Skip this and read the book instead.

I have to give credit where it's due: the production design is lovely. The university campus, the music club, the rooftop scenes—all beautifully shot with a warm color palette. The lighting in the early episodes is dreamy, and the actors are framed like models in a magazine. But the cinematography can't save the fact that the later episodes have zero romantic visual tension. The camera lingers on uncomfortable silences instead of intimate moments. It's like the director was afraid to show closeness. Still, for a visually polished BL, it's above average. Just don't expect the visuals to match the emotional depth.

I only kept watching for Man and Type, and honestly they were the only couple that felt real. Their dynamic—Man's persistence and Type's reluctant affection—actually showed growth and chemistry. Even their hug in the finale was more romantic than anything Sarawat and Tine ever did. The main couple was a letdown. Side couples deserved more screen time and a proper resolution. Also, Gunsmile as the comedic friend saved every scene he was in. If you're in it for the side stories, you might enjoy it more than the main mess.

This series is a minefield of problematic behavior disguised as romance. Green is portrayed as a creepy stalker, but then Tine and Man do the same thing to their love interests and it's played for laughs. The double standard is gross. Sarawat gets Tine drunk and posts a suggestive picture without his consent—and we're supposed to find that romantic? The 'no means yes' message is deeply troubling. Also, the complete lack of physical intimacy after they're a couple feels like the show is scared to depict a genuine queer relationship. For a BL, it's shockingly homophobic in its execution. Do not recommend.
