Picking up after the events of 2 Moons 2, 2 Moons: The Ambassador shifts focus to a new pair of rivals-turned-lovers while checking in on the beloved couples from the previous seasons. Pha’s cousin, Lom, is a self-deprecating agriculture student who loses the campus ‘Moon’ competition but catches the eye of the charming and effortlessly popular Tatch. What begins as a petty social media bet to see who can gain more followers quickly evolves into a heart-fluttering enemies-to-lovers romance. As Lom and Tatch navigate their growing feelings, the series also tackles the fallout from Wayo’s leaked photos scandal, giving Pha and Wayo a chance to heal and grow. With its warm campus atmosphere, playful banter, and a refreshing focus on open communication and mutual respect, this sequel offers a lighter, fluffier alternative to the angst-heavy BL fare. It’s a celebration of second chances, both in love and in life, proving that sometimes the best relationships start when you least expect them.

I went in expecting nothing and came out completely in love with Lom and Tatch! Their banter, their longing stares, and that karaoke scene? I melted. Yes, the other couples felt like filler, but I didn’t care – the main pair had me smiling like an idiot every episode. The NC scenes were so loving and natural, not just thrown in. A perfect comfort watch for hopeless romantics like me.

Yet another recast? I gave it a chance, but the plot is a mess. The big cliffhanger from season 2 gets resolved in a 3-minute flashback, and the rest is just Lom being indecisive for six episodes. The twin villain subplot was laughable. If this weren't tied to 2 Moons, it'd be forgotten. The actors try, but the writing lets them down. A slog to get through.

I appreciated how this series handled consent and communication. Tatch constantly checks in with Lom, and their physical relationship is built on clear, enthusiastic agreement. The comic relief trans characters still felt outdated, but the main couple’s dynamic was refreshingly equal. It’s not perfect, but it’s a step forward for BL to show couples who actually talk things out instead of assuming the worst.

The color grading is warm and inviting, and the university scenes are beautifully lit – especially the nighttime pool and the music room. Danny’s live singing was a highlight; it felt so intimate. But the editing has weird jumps, and the slow-motion shirtless shots got repetitive. Still, for a lower-budget series, it’s visually pleasing. The pig-cow creature was oddly charming too.

I only kept watching for Forth and Beam – their chemistry in this season was way better than in 2Moons2! That actor playing Beam? Wow. But they got so little screen time. The main couple was fine, but I wish the show had balanced all four couples better. The jealousy plots were recycled and boring. Just give me a Forth/Beam spin-off, please!
